SUBMISSION OF DATA ON PER STUDENT COST IN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS (JULY 1st, 2025 TO DECEMBER 31st, 2025)
Reference the captioned subject.
- I am directed to convey that the School Education Department intends to undertake a comprehensive review of per student expenditure in government schools with a view to ensuring optimal and efficient utilization of resources under PFC shares and NSB allocations.
- In this regard, all Chief Executive Officers (CEOS), District Education Authorities (DEAs), Punjab are requested to furnish detailed information regarding per student cost for each category of standalone Government Primary schools, Elementary schools, High School & Higher Secondary Schools for the period from 01st July 2025 to 31st December 2025. It is clarified that salary expenditure of the offices of Assistant Education Officers (AEOS), Deputy District Education Officers, District Education Officers and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) shall not be included in these calculations.
- The requisite data shall be submitted separately for each school category, strictly in the prescribed proformas (MS Excel – soft copy and hard signed copy). The per student per month cost shall be calculated distinctly for:

Standalone Primary Schools (Classes 0-05)
Elementary Schools including Primary Schools having Elementary Classes Afternoon School Programme (ASP) (Classes 0-08)
High Schools including Elementary Schools having High Classes Afternoon School Programme (ASP) (Classes 0-10)
Higher Secondary Schools (Classes 0-12)
- The complete and accurate data, duly verified and signed must reach this department positively by 05-01-2026. No delay or omission will be entertained.

محکمہ سکول ایجوکیشن پنجاب کی ہدایت پر فی طالب علم لاگت (Cost Per Student) کی تفصیل طلب کی گئی ہے، جس کے حوالے سے اساتذہ کرام کی جانب سے بار بار استفسارات موصول ہو رہے ہیں۔ اس ضمن میں رہنمائی کے لیے چند اہم نکات:
✅ فی طالب علم لاگت نکالنے کا درست طریقہ:
1️⃣ صرف ان اساتذہ کی تنخواہیں شامل کریں جو سکول میں حقیقی طور پر ورکنگ ہیں۔
؟ 2️⃣ NSB فنڈ کو بھی اس حساب میں شامل کریں۔
3️⃣ تمام ورکنگ اساتذہ کی مجموعی تنخواہ + NSB کو سکول کے کل داخل طلبہ کی تعداد پر تقسیم کریں۔
➡️ یہی آپ کی فی طالب علم لاگت (Cost Per Student) ہوگی۔
❌ نوٹ:
خالی پوسٹوں کے لیے منظور شدہ بجٹ کو شامل نہ کریں، کیونکہ وہ استعمال نہ ہونے کی صورت میں سال کے آخر میں واپس چلا جاتا ہے۔
📌 یہ ڈیٹا صرف ورکنگ بجٹ و اخراجات پر مبنی ہونا چاہیے تاکہ سکول کی اصل مالی صورتحال واضح ہو سکے۔
